ABOUT THE LOFT
The LofT Assistance Center is a not-for-profit, community assistance and training program. We provide food, clothing, household items, auto maintenance and minor repair, as well as training on nutrition, personal finances, and auto maintenance for members of our community who need this help.
Everything we give to assist those in need has been donated privately, or by local retailers and food suppliers, or from the produce and eggs we raise on-site.
The guiding principle for doing this is found in the words of Jesus, when speaking about people in need said, “when you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” (Matthew 24:40 NKVJ) LofT stands for “least of these.”
The LofT Assistance Center began in August 2014, and was born out of a long held desire of the members of Sandhills Worship and Military Ministry Center to accentuate and promote the culture of Christ in our community. We believe we can and should demonstrate to them the heart of God through the use of our hands and feet by helping those around us who are in need. Jesus said we will always have the poor with us and made it very clear that we are to help those are in need. As we do so, we plan to network with churches, local businesses, government agencies, and other nonprofit organizations to provide a thorough coverage of care for our community.
We are also honored to be associated with Freedom Outreach International (Church of God Ministry to the Military). Together we are able to provide care and assistance to members of the United States Military, Veterans, Retirees, and their Family members, regardless of race, color, or creed, as we network with agencies both on and off post, nationally and locally whose mission is to assist these unique and well deserving members of our community.
I pray you will consider joining us in caring for all members of our community.
God bless you,
Bishop R. Wade Miller, CSM, USA (Retired)
Senior Pastor/Director and Founder Sandhills Worship and Military Ministry Center
